The restaurant itself is small but has large windows which fills the place with sunlight, and being lucky enough to get a seat near the window, it made it a fantastic place to have brunch.
I was debating between the duck prosciutto eggs Benedict and the short ribs eggs Benedict, but settled on the short ribs eggs Benedict:
Upon the first bite, I felt extremely let down because this was just so...bland. I had been expecting it to be bursting with flavor but every aspect of the Benedict was extremely bland, from the ribs to the hollandaise.
Next, the croque madame:
This was actually quite good. The cheese and ham gave it a nice little bit of flavor, but it wasn't overwhelming.
Both dishes also came with Yukon nugget potato hash and a little cup of yogurt with a fruit compote. The potato hash was also quite bland, and very starchy. Not as crispy as I would have liked. The yogurt was not-bad but nothing to call home about.
The service at Catch 122 was quite good. The waitress who took our order was very sweet and our food came at a decent speed. Despite the not-great experience I had with what I ordered, I would still love to go back to Catch 122 to try some of the other things on their menu. Their lunch and dinner menu look way too good for me to pass up!
